JD Status Play to Win Competition Terms and Conditions
By taking part in this competition, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, then you should not take part in the competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before entering the competition. We, JD Sports Fashion plc ("JD Sports"), recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the competition. JD Sports is the promoter of this competition.
1. What can you win?
There will be multiple winners of two (2) of the below prizes and one (1) winner of one (1) of the prizes. The number of winners is set out below. The prizes are as follows:
- Prize 1. A £5 JD Group gift card (17 of these prizes are available to win);
- Prize 2. A £10 JD Group gift card (7 of these prizes are available to win); or
- Prize 3. An entry into a raffle to win a £100 JD Group gift card (there will be only one winner of this prize. For more information, please see clause 6 below).

To be in with the chance to win a Prize you must attend a JD Status Play to Win Event (the "Participating Event").
The Participating Event will take place at the following store on 9th March & 10th March: Blackpool Retail Park - Unit F, Blackpool Retail Park, Blackpool, FY4 3AW.
The Prize is subject to availability. The Prize is subject to winner confirmation (i.e. JD Sports has been able to contact winners and has been able to confirm eligibility). JD Sports has the right to change, alter or withdraw the competition or Prize at any time due to any change in any applicable law or any events outside the control of JD Sports. JD Sports shall not be responsible for any delay, cancellation or rescheduling of the Prize. If any part of the Prize is not claimed (for whatever reason), JD Sports is under no obligation to supply an alternative prize.
2. What is excluded from the Prize?
It is the winners' responsibility to organise and pay for anything excluded from the Prize.
3. Who can enter?
Entrants must:
- be aged 18 years or over;
- be a resident of England, Scotland or Wales;
- have downloaded the JD Status app; and
- attend the Participating Event.
JD Sports reserves the right to ask the winners to provide proof of age. Employees (and their immediate family) of the JD Sports group (http://www.jdplc.com/our-group/sports-fashion.aspx), or anyone else professionally connected with this competition are not eligible to enter the competition. JD Sports reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to decide if the eligibility criteria are met. If the eligibility criteria are not met, the entry will be invalid.
4. How to enter
Entrants can enter the competition by:
- attending the Participating Event;
- downloading the JD Status app on their device and showing the JD staff member at the Participating Event that the download has been completed;
- at the Participating Event, entrants must participate in a digital game on screen which requires participants to press a button to stop the "bar" inside the "win zone" as the bar moves up and down the screen (the "Game"); and
- if successful in stopping the bar inside the win zone, the participant will win Prize 1 or 2 above or will have an entry for the chance to win Prize 3.
Internet service providers' fees may apply when accessing the internet. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
Participation is limited to one entry per person at the Participating Event only. If more than one such entry is received, only the first entry will be accepted. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
5. Closing Times
The opening and closing times will be the times the activation is running in store - Saturday 9th March: 9am-7pm, & Sunday 10th: 11am-5pm. Any entries received after these dates and times will not be valid.
6. How are winners selected?
If the participant of the Game is successful, the digital screen will transition to the Prize page where the participant will be randomly allocated a Prize.
Winners of Prize 1 and Prize 2 - the "£5 JD Group gift card" and "£10 JD Group gift card" will receive their Prize from a JD staff member following successful completion of the Game.
Recipients of Prize 3 - the "entry into a raffle to win a £100 JD Group gift card" must provide their name, address, and email address to the JD staff member to be entered into the prize draw. Following the closure of the Participating Events, one (1) winner will be selected at random from the raffle entrants and will receive their £100 JD Group gift card Prize within 30 days by post/email.
The decision of JD Sports is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winners (other than with the winners themselves). In the event that the winner does not communicate their acceptance of the Prize within five (5) days following the end of the Participating Event, the winner forfeits, and will be considered to have waived their right to, the Prize and JD Sports is under no obligation to, and shall not, select another winner.
7. Winners' Responsibilities
It is the winners' responsibility to: (i) organise and pay costs for anything excluded from the Prize, including travel to and from a Participating Store and refreshments; (ii) complete all stages of the How to enter section above and present evidence of such completion to a member of staff in a Participating Store; (iii) provide accurate contact details; (iv) provide valid proof of age, which is required to enter the competition; (v) adhere to local laws in the UK; and (vi) comply with any rules, instructions, requirements, terms and conditions or regulations of the event organiser. JD Sports will not be liable to the winners or any other persons where they fail to comply with such responsibilities and any such failure may result in forfeiture of the Prize.

The Prize is not available for re-sale and should not be sold for a cash equivalent. JD reserves the right to make void any and all Prize elements if this term is not complied with.

9. Publicity
By taking part in the competition, entrants may be invited to participate in publicity at JD Sports' request if they are a winner of the competition. Entrants agree that JD Sports (or any third party nominated by JD Sports) may in its sole discretion use their comments relating to the Prize and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid (including for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party). Any use of images or other personal information that could identify entrants will be subject to the entrants' consent.
JD Sports reserves the right to withdraw the Prizes (or any part of them) if a winner breaches any of the terms in these terms and conditions or if they are found to have acted in a dishonest or fraudulent manner.

10 . Which law applies to this competition?
This competition is governed by the law of England and Wales and the participants of the competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
